Bugz In The Attic rise to the challenge and deliver nothing short of a summer sizzler. On their own productions this nonchalant, occasionally chaotic octet of musicians have a natural knack for producing quality dance music, a trait that is ever present on this 19 track musical odyssey. In typical Back to Mine fashion this mix is a melting pot of musical styles fused together with great studio prowess. Opening with the Maurice Fulton produced 'Lets Get Sick' this mix instantly pricks up the listeners ears before moving into some serious punk funk courtesy of 80's Rough Trade favourites Maximum Joy. The late great J Dilla covers just a smidgen of the hip hop on here before leading into Rammelzee's electro classic 'Beat Bop'. Jack Wilson adds some carnival flavour whilst Bodysnatch and Unique 3 inject some old skool rave before taking it all down a notch. The Sylvers and Kid Creole add a touch of vintage soul, The Fearless Four start the uprock for those partial to a windmill or two followed by the sugar sweet voices of Leon Ware and Carroll Thompson who lead into Earth, Wind & Fire's aptly titled climax 'The Departure'.
